Hey lovelies, I hope you're enjoying the Easter holidays as I am. On most celebratory holidays I'm usually back home in Lagos, Nigeria. And this Easter holiday was no exception.
I took the opportunity to go to the Lekki Conservation Centre, a place I've always wanted to visit. Thankfully I got to visit when I've got my blog started already. Giving me the pleasure of sharing this experience with you guys.

The Lekki Conservation Centre Lagos was declared opened by Prince Phillips of England in 1989. It was founded by an organisation called The Nigeria Conservation Foundation which was started in the early 1980s. The founder of the organisation who is Chief Essien Edo was a member of an international organisation called "World Wide Fund For Nature".
During those days while travelling to the Netherlands for business purposes, he made acquaintance with the Prince of Netherlands, Prince Benhard, who had a Nature Fund foundation. Chief Essien was later introduced to the World Wide Fund For Nature organisation by the Prince. He stayed with the organisation for a while and later decided to introduce the initiative in Nigeria. He proposed the idea to the government and potential investors, after some hurdles and challenges the organisation was successfully established in the early 1980s. Then the creation of project sites began, these sites can be found in Lekki Lagos state, and Omo-Oluwa-Shasha Ogun state.
The major aim of the centre is to have a sample specie of a natural reserve that is untouched by urban development. Also, to have a sample specie of the Fauna and Floral of Lekki Peninsular in it's very natural form.
There are varieties of animals, reptiles, sea animals and birds at the reserve.
